I used to enjoy the magazine before you came aboard with your editorials. My wife said I should just skip the editorial and read the rest. However, you give me a glimpse into the left of this country and I find it interesting to read editorials that are devoid of common sense. For example, wouldn't tort reform and being able to buy health insurance across state lines work better than gutting medicare, raising taxes etc. New subject. Your boy gave a real Commander in Chief talk at West Point. He told the young men to go over to fight ( maybe get killed ), but hurry up because we will retreat in 18 months. I guess I read you for the fun of seeing that you really really believe the stuff you write. I know you haven't written about West Point yet, but you will.

I read in disbelief the words that were spouted in your editorial "A Christmas Carol". ABSOLUTE RUBBISH!

Yes reform needs to occur in the the health care/ health insurance industry. This proposed legislation is so far off base it will do much more harm than good.

This bill flies in the face of all insurance principles. Have you ever passed an Insurance licensing exam? Have you not heard of the law of adverse selection. I imagine that you support the purchasing of auto insurance after you have had a collision. The age ratings proposed in current legislation will make premiums so high for young adults, they will be forced to go uninsured and pay a penalty.

I could go on forever here but see it as a waste of time. Your editorial makes it clear that you do not understand Insurance principles, support government control of our life, and have obviously made a decison to support government run health care.

If championing reform that is good for my clients makes me a scrooge, so be it.

Hi Steve,

I thought your magazine was an industry publication, not a political mouthpiece! I suppose you want the Post Office and Amtrak to take over all communications and transportation in this country as well! Regardless of your (Democratic) political affiliation, I would appreciate it in the future if you keep your comments on this historical entitlement program to it's potential impact on our industry.

Otherwise, I may have to put your publication in the recyling bin before I scan it rather than after.
